G2 Crowd, a B2B software and services review platform, announced it has acquired Siftery, a platform designed to help businesses eliminate waste in software spend and discover new technology based on peer companies. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The news follows G2 Crowd’s recent $55 million Series C funding round, which brought its total funds up to $100 million.
“G2 Crowd has become known as a place where you can discover and buy great software,” said Godard Abel, Co-Founder and CEO of G2 Crowd, in a statement. “With the acquisition of Siftery, we're now able to help businesses manage their investment and use of software.”
“We’re excited to join the G2 Crowd team, so we can more quickly realize our joint vision,” said Siftery Co-founder and CEO Vamshi Mokshagundam in a statement. “By becoming part of the G2 family, Siftery’s technology can reach millions more people, continue to develop rapidly and have a bigger impact around the world in helping to eliminate wasted and inefficient software spend.”
